According to Him

Brady Quinn was a mega star at Notre Dame. But now the household name is one of four competing for quarterback of the Denver Broncos. Even though the 26-year-old is new to Denver, he’s sure to make a name here quickly because of his presence in a crowd. The six-foot-four heartthrob is a devout Christian who reads his bible every day and signs every autograph with favorite scripture. Stephanie Riggs talks to Brady Quinn to find out what else makes him tick. (watch her entire interview on VistaTVDenver.com)

SR: Best thing you’ve done so far in Denver?
BQ: Play for the Broncos, this is an outstanding organization.

SR: Is this usual, having to complete with three other guys to play quarterback for the Broncos?
BQ: No, it was actually the same situation in Cleveland when I played for the Browns. They need guys on the roster who can play. This really does bring out the best in all of us.

SR: Is it refreshing playing for a creative offensive mind like Josh McDaniels?
BQ: Without a doubt, he has a wealth of knowledge. I learn something new and different from the guy every time I’m with him. I am truly grateful.

SR: What does your work day look like?
BQ: I start at 5:15 a.m. and never stop; breakfast, workout, meetings, practice, lifting, watching film and then crash. I get up and do it all over again. I love every second of it.

SR: Did you always want to be a football player?
BQ: Yes, since I was 3 or 4 years old and I could barely put my little fingers around the football.

SR: Have you had a chance to explore Colorado?
BQ: I only see those beautiful mountains from the practice field. They look amazing. One day I’ll get there.

SR: What is the most important thing in your life?
BQ: My faith. I spend every day reading the bible and praying to God for direction. I ‘d be lost without it.

SR: What qualities are you looking for in a woman?
BQ: Number one on this list: is faith in Jesus. I am also looking for smart, attractive, funny, athletic, kind and caring.

SR: What is your idea of a romantic night out?
BQ: Probably go out to dinner and maybe see a movie.

SR: What is your favorite music?
BQ: Christian rock, Country.

SR: Favorite Band
BQ: Third Day.

SR: Vacation Spot?
BQ: I have a house in Florida and I love to go there when I can.

SR: Favorite drink?
BQ: Chocolate milk.

SR: What is the one food you could eat every day?
BQ: Chipotle.

SR: Really?
BQ: Seriously, I love it that much!

SR: How would your describe yourself in one word?
BQ: Goofy.

SR: What qualities do you most cherish in a friend?
BQ: Honesty is number one, loyalty and accountability.

SR: Do you have a life motto?
BQ: Walk by faith, not by sight.

SR: Do you cook?
BQ: Yes, I love to cook! I cook for myself all the time.

SR: Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
BQ:  My parents, they gave me my values, shaped my character and inspired my faith. They prepared me for life’s challenges. I still talk to them daily. My mom sends me scriptures before every game.

SR: Do you save them all?
BQ: I do, I hope they never stop coming.

SR: Who is the coolest person you know in Denver?
BQ: Besides you Stephanie, (laughs) it would have to be Jeremy Bloom. He is a remarkable guy.

SR: Most of what I’ve read about you says, if you are a hit, Denver wins big.
BQ: I hope so.

SR: Well, you can count on one thing for sure.
BQ: What’s that?

SR: I’ll be praying for you and I have a feeling, I won’t be the only one.
BQ: Thanks, that means the world to me!
